Where are the teenage workers?

According to a recent article published by the National Retail Federation “Employment trends: Teens in retail,” teenagers are opting out of their first job or summer jobs. This shift is occurring as many parents have placed more emphasis on the rewards of education, diminishing the traditional push to get a first job. Additionally, many young adults are entrepreneurially minded and are finding non-traditional ways of making money.
